I am a senior Independent Consultant specialising in Qualitative Research. Having trained as an account planner in London advertising agency BBH, I moved into full time market research at HPI International before joining Hall Advertising in Edinburgh as Board Planning Director.
I set up my own qualitative research consultancy, Mindspace, to specialise in focus groups and depth interviews and I pioneered the area of online qualitative research using web-conferencing. Projects undertaken for a wide range of UK clients include customer opinion and attitude surveys, developing new business and marketing ideas, naming, logo design and branding, corporate 'health checks', testing advertising, direct mail and promotional materials, feedback on websites, customer panels, staff satisfaction surveys and questionnaire design and piloting.
As well as full project management for my own clients, I freelance for research companies and other associate businesses and I am a long-standing member of the Independent Consultants Group. My role with 1238 is to provide evidence-based consumer insight that underpins, fuels and develops the creation of PR material for the brands it represents.
